John is a Senior Principal at MKA and leads the firm’s Healthcare and Laboratory Specialist Groups. His portfolio includes hospitals up to 102,253 m² (1.1 million ft²), state-of-the-art facilities to house research for infectious diseases, change-of-use renovations to accommodate wet labs and sensitive equipment, and dozens of seismic retrofits and renovations to medical centers remaining fully operational. John, also MKA’s Director of Earthquake Engineering, applies his specialized seismic knowledge and advanced understanding of structural vibrations to design efficient and economical facilities to extremely high performance standards.
